Will That Message Come? Is He Sure? Maybe Not!

A little sneak peak : They would express themselves. They would just be lost in each other’s words as words were the only things they could feel from a distance of 1500+kms. Just like all other days, he talked his heart to her and she also did the same. But that day he knew he had a set of problems to solve. Solving problems for her always made her happy, hence made him happy too.
Will that message come? Is he sure? Maybe not!

The room was full of induced light coming in from the window of his room. The light was not sufficient enough to wake him up as he had been sleeping dreaming about the only person who could make him sleep like a baby after his mother. Sleeping peacefully, lost somewhere in his dreams, he heard someone open the door. She came near him, sat on the bed close to his head, put her hand in his hair and started whispering to him softly. He just felt that touch and recognised the person. He asked his mother for 5 more minutes

of sleep. That smile on her face agreed to him. He kept his eyes closed but the moment her mother left, he opened his eyes in a swift manner. His eyes were wide open as if he had been up from a long time. He had a tensed look on his face. He started his search as he always searched for something first thing in the morning..
He found his phone and there it was, a broad smile on his face because he knew what was inside it. As soon as he switched on the internet he could not wait for that particular notification to pop up. One, two, three, four.. the counter for notifications went on increasing but he was searching for a particular name. The smile converted itself into a blushing smile. He had found the name. He opened up the notification and started reading. His face started to glow as he was progressing down the received message. A message from that person always made him happy. It always made him close his eyes for a few moments and embrace the love packed in it. Those messages from her were his morning coffee. They were his fuel for the rest of his day. Just like a message daily, It was a Good morning message from his girlfriend handcrafted with so many emotions along with all the love she could gather for him.”
He took a moment to let that love flow through his veins and then started typing. Those texts were never enough to express his affection for her. They were never enough to wish her a morning as he had always wished her to be in his arms. With all the happiness packed he pressed the sent button. Message sent. Message delivered. Message read. His heartbeat increased rapidly. She was astonished. She replied with the same amount of happiness and affection. And once again, they were lost in a conversation which always took them far from this world to some other world where he was the king and she was obviously his only queen. Both of them were happy and wished they could see each other. They continued their conversation with the amount of love and joy that could set couple goals for any other couple quite easily. They were in love. They were Bloom and Sky to each other.
After a few moments of loosing oneself into each other they had to take each other’s leave and get themselves indulged in earthly jobs. She had a class to attend whereas on the other hand he would wait for the clock to tick 6’o clock. As she went on to class he was left alone. Of course he had his mother and father by his side but she was now a part of his family too. He had been thinking to marry her. They had been thinking their future together.
He tried to keep himself busy so that he would not miss her but then what would destiny be if everything was so easy. He could see her everywhere. He saw her having breakfast along with him. He saw her sitting with him watching TV. He saw her holding his phone to take pictures. He saw her riding along with him. He saw her holding him from back while he was cooking his meal. He could easily see her sitting on the other side of mirror texting him back. He felt her showering along with him. He could see her helping with his works. He used to wander in his favourite app on his phone in her absence. It was the gallery for every moment he would get, he would be wandering in it and seeing none other than his love. His gallery was full of her pictures. He stared at her pics for what seemed to be an eternity. This did not happen once, twice or thrice but so many times that even he lost the count and that app would eat up all his phone’s battery up. But it was all worth it. She was not only a materialistic body to him but the essence of his life. She was the fuel he breathed in-out. She was his sunshine. She was his love. She was the girl he wanted since he came to his senses. She was his and his only Purvi. <3
The clock seemed to be moving like a snail. He had his eyes on the clock. He thought he could cut the time by thinking about her but time is none’s prisoner. He was sitting with his family when his phone started ringing. The clock showed 5.13. There was a broad smile on his face seeing her photo pop up on his screen. She looked so beautiful in that picture that even the moon would want to hide itself. His smile vanished as soon as he realised that he could not talk to her as he was sitting with his family. He picked up the call and behaved like it was one of his friends calling him casually. Now he knew that she is back from her classes so what could possibly stop him from calling her back anyhow? Well, the answer is Nothing! He took the risk of calling her back in front of his family and they started talking. He came to know she was upset. Not any ordinary girl but his soul was upset. He was ready to take the problems and solve her for them anyhow anyday. They started discussing her problems minutely. She trusted him with her problems. She knew he would never guide her to the wrong bridge over the river. But problems are problems for a reason. They cant be taken for granted. So to add up to those problems, his dad came out and saw him talking softly on the phone. He came back to the world from which they had drifted a long time back. She had to wait a few minutes.
This was his favourite time. This was his time for an evening walk. But no, that was not why that was his favourite time. It was because he would talk to her without any restrictions and It was his flight to the sky of infinite love and sharing.
“Hey Siri!” he greeted his phone.
“Hey Asvin, What can I do for you?”
“Call Purvi” and he put his phone in his pocket. He had his earphones plugged in because hearing her with both ears gave him the feeling of being a bit closer to her. She picked up the call and now they were on a flight to their own loveland in the sky. He would call her daily and talk to her for what seemed to be a flash yet it was for 1.5 hours. They would talk each and everything. They would share. They would feel each other. They would express themselves. They would just be lost in each other’s words as words were the only things they could feel from a distance of 1500+kms.
Just like all other days, he talked his heart to her and she also did the same. But that day he knew he had a set of problems to solve. Solving problems for her always made her happy, hence made him happy too. They discussed her problems in the deepest way possible. She let all her worries out to him and he made sure her worries are disposed off well. He always made sure she would always be smiling at the end of that call and he succeeded yet again. He was happy. She was happy. They both were happy together. Destiny was not.
After a bit of funny texts, love making, teasing each other, expressing love, sending pictures, they both would be excited for a call that always happened late in night. The night was quiet and dark, stars were twinkling and his parents asleep. Well that was the time, he dialed her. As soon as he heard her voice, he closed his eyes and grabbed a chair to sit for how he would be mesmerised by her voice. On the other hand her room was dark just like the dark night, she was on her bed just like he was on the chair. She also closed her eyes and let his voice flow in her ears and reach her heart. Once the connection was made between two beating hearts, they would synchronise their beating frequency. They felt everything same way. There was no hidden conditions in the syncing of their hearts. Their hearts would pump the love through their veins along with the red fluid. The connection was successfully established between two souls. The love started flowing. The voices could be heard in a pattern. They were good together. They felt complete.
They were talking seamlessly when he told her that he was upset about something despite knowing she had had an extremely bad day. She cared for him so much that suddenly all of her attention was diverted towards his reason for sadness. He told her the reason which was the most stupidest reason among all. Maybe for him, that mattered a lot. Maybe at first she would had thought of him being a stupid but with the passing moments she realised that it was important to him. She tried calming him down. She showered her love on him. She did everything she could on a phone call. She tried her best. But if its already written in the books of destiny, can anyone stop it? Yes, he could have if he had understood. ‘Life is not that easy and so is not to understand when you are so down and low.’ All he did was just cut the call while she was still making her efforts to calm her ‘Sky’ down. It all ended within the silence of the night. The voices could not be heard anymore. The hearts were still connected but the connection was poor enough for him to realise that what had he just done. He had cut her off for that night. He had his support for the night. He had been rude.
Just as he was mourning the stupidest reason for one to be sad, a text popped up.
“Good night” she texted.
“Aap so jao. Good night.” He still had no idea what he was doing and what he had done.

He closed his eyes and thought about her for a few minutes. He went to his favourite place in search of joy. He saw her pictures in his gallery. He saw her smile. He realised he had ruined her beautiful smile. He felt guilty. He had totally forgot about his reason. He texted her back and closed his eyes again holding his phone in his hands firmly so as to feel any vibrations of her replies. There were no replies. He texted her again to feel sorry. And yet again he ventured back to his gallery as it had only a single person’s pictures. The gallery was his way of feeling close to her. He was almost lost in her pictures when he realised that there were no replies even to his sorry text. He texted her again, again and yet again a few times but no reply came. He tried calling. He had lost her for the night.
She had probably put her phone aside and went to sleep with a sad face. This was a nightmare to him. “She did not sleep happy.” He was shocked. For the first time he had let her sleep with misery surrounding her.
He was looking at her photos when a drop dropped on his phone’s screen. He had not drank any water lately. Where did that drop come from? He realised his eyes were wet and he had actually broken into tears. He knew his other half was not happy and here he was broken down with wet eyes. He wanted to express. He wanted to make her happy again. There was no way he could talk to her right then. He could not control himself and started typing. He sent her a few lines telling her how extremely sorry he was and the feeling he was getting about not deserving her. It was tough to type with continuous drops falling on the screen. With a guilt filled all over in his heart he pressed the send button.
Neither in minutes nor in hours her reply came. With his eyes were still wet, heart filled with guilt, a sudden want to slap himself, love for her, sorry for his wrong doings to her and a wet hanky beside him, he went to his desk and opened up his laptop and started writing. It had been his way of imagining her and typing everything to her. He tried to relive that day with the hope of changing the ending of that day but what is done is done. Neither time nor his laptop could change it. The damage had been already done. She is sleeping with misery around her but he vowed to himself to always be with her, to fight his way through every misery she would face, to get access to her heart once again.

Present time…
His eyes are now dried with no more tears left to shed. He is sorry for what he did. His heart is pounding guilt in his veins. Thinking about her, he goes back to the start of that day where her morning message made him happy, he made her happy and they both were happiest souls in their loveland in sky. He is cherishing that thought when suddenly a few questions come to his mind, “Will the morning message come next morning? Will she forgive him? Will she accept him with the same amount of love? Will she be able to forget all this?” He is not sure whether his writing, which he wrote late at night with all his eyes wet, reach her or not. He will make sure it reaches you. You are reading the writing. Do you have the same question? He has it too..
“Will that message come? Is he sure? Maybe not!”

…To be continued.
